    You better keep watching those shows that always do the same in the same way, idk, married with children or something equally lame. One of greatest FG strenghts are those to the plot completly unrelated jokes, and here we have a completly unrelated episode itself, and without context you can’t get why it’s funny.  Because you’re just plain retarted and unable to get anything deeper than your throat goes. Here, I hope this helps and have a nice day, good sir.

    I’m kind of glad that Meg confronted everyone in this episode, but that part was the only good thing about it. Brian’s drug trip was horrible and disgusting, I had to skip past it when it got to Peter being burned. And it took up most of the episode! What the hell? Not one thing about this episode was funny or amusing in any way. These seasons just keep getting darker and less bearable to watch as time goes on. The first episode was okay, but this is terrible. Don’t go asking me why I watch it if I think it’s so terrible, and I don’t, not really. Just these past few seasons. Up to mid-season seven was quite light-hearted and funny, but then they got dark and make me physically cringe to watch most the episodes. I watch each new episode in hopes that it will be a faint memory of what this show used to be, but I am severely disappointed. It has officially become worse than the new Simpsons episodes now. Now excuse me while I go throw up.

    Well this sure has divided the fans.  IMO, Seth can do whatever the fuck he wants, he doesn’t give a shit about you or what any of you think and it was that disregard for norms that let it attain fame in the first place.  And in this episode, if you’ve ever hit a massive bag of shrooms, you will notice brian is tumbling through all the insecurities and boundaries that his character has, and he has a whacked out hallucination where they all come to life in the most horrifying way.  Kinda pretentious but very moving. Fuck your criticism.

    I’m really sick of family guy over-exaggerating drug use. That’s not what happens on shrooms. I think there was another episode with acid thats blown out of proportion. Lame as hell.

    Sadly, the worst episode since “Brian and Stewie”, at least that is the way I see it, and I won’t kill anyone who actually liked it. To me it was just unfunny and rather depressing. I watch Family Guy to get away from the “joys” of our regular life, as shown on TV. I have enough drama on the news or most documentaries.
    Somebody said it was funny because it wasn’t funny. I understand what you mean, as I have the same sense of humour, but in this case, I just didn’t know how to react. So I just stared at the screen until the show ended and carried on with my other daily activities :P

    If by watching shows that always do things in the “same way” you mean i should stick to watching shows that actually continue to make me laugh then i agree with you. Simply because something is unrelated does not make it funny; only a drooling moron is so easily amused. I laughed at the cutaways of previous episodes because they were hilarious references to pop culture, funny spins on everyday situations, or ingeniously ridiculous.

    This episode was garbage and the context was boring: the family can’t go out because of bad weather so Brian does shrooms and trips while Meg throws a fit (later only to realize she shouldn’t have bothered in the first place) and this lasts for the whole time slot of the episode. Wow! What complicated context! What was the point again exactly? Oh, that’s right, shrooms make you hallucinate and parents should be more responsible than caricatures represented in comedy cartoons (DUH!), how deep and enlightening!

    Even when attempting to insult my intelligence you showcase your idiocy. The word is “retarded’ not “retarted”. No, don’t bother trying to say it was a typo, you’re one of those idiots who spells the word like you think it’s pronounced. I shouldn’t be surprised that a mouth-breathing imbecile like yourself found this unfunny mind-numbing bullshit entertaining.

    After 12 years of flimsy plots but hilarious gags and cutaways suddenly Family Guy does a 180 degree turn. People who watch it for laughs, like me, will most likely feel betrayed.

    I have read a few comments on here, and it’s just sad to see what people expect.

    people want these shows that pander to their own stupidity.

    shows no longer have thought put into them and are just pumped out of some massive factory cookie cutter style, and that’s what everyone expects.

    The shows that people find funny were what we considered to be immature humor before. Family guy is at least giving those who realize that humor and maturity can be present within the same context.

    I used to think that Family guy is a really dumb show, but it is interesting to see how it has evolved and begun to look at some interesting concepts of every day life.

    I appreciate the clever art work and effort that went into Brian’s trip but watching the Meg rant gave me a headache. We’ve all had enough problems in our own family lives without being subjected to that dross. If Seth Macfarlane wants out of comedy, stop making FG episodes and focus on something new in my opinion. Don’t try and twist a show on its head.

    I knew it! I knew after reading all the negative comments that I would like this epiode. Fucking brilliant man! Brians bad-trip was spectacular! They must have hired a true artist to assist in this episode. And did you see the Jew joke? Gotta love that one. haha!
