    It pains me to see how you make assumptions n judgments on God and the Bible when you do not obviously take time out to read the Bible entirely. Thats like me going to a debate without doing any research on a topic matter. If in the Bible it is explained that 1,000 years to us is like a day to God, then in actuality it can possibly mean that the world was made in 7,000 years. But thats not even important, its just an assumption, because knowing the exact time frame in which God creating the earth alone won’t get me into heaven. Explain this to me, because this whole evolutionary thing on how living things were made does not make sense to me: Why aren’t apes transforming into men any more? Why are not we hearing about any more of these popular big bangs??? Summer winter spring and autumn all reoccur the same time year-round with NOOOO skipping, and you believe that that is an accident?!?! ….No man has ever landed on a star…but yet they’re able to tell what a star is…We have been spinning on this same axis with the same speed from beginning of time and have yet to collide with another planet…There is more water than land on this planet…but yet the shore line knows exactly how far to go, except for natural disasters here and there. I tell you what, rather than criticizing my God in Christ Jesus, do your research please. pick up your Bible, take time to read…..and I’m sure you’ll find the answers you NEED. We do not know how long the earth has been here for, just like how we do not know the number of stars are in the sky: all we can do is give estimates, but that is not something we NEED to know. Just because we do not know some mysteries of this universe does not mean that God does not exist. Please don’t be offended…but remember, the only way you are going to understand is if you take time to read the Bible and its ENTIRETY

    that quote about how have the “survived” in all fairness it really hasnt, things are moulded and changed all the time, they dig up new found religions every minute, think about it, the world has basically been a giant playground of rumors, for instance, a girl at school has been rumored to have slept with someone, this spreads, people believe it because its something different, its not hard to have written something in a book and called it the bible, i mean, the fact that any religious view, is to say that, we were not apes at one time, or there is no such thing as dinosoars, there is proof that there was, and that is the continuous amount of findings that are made, there is also evidence that man was not around when dinosoars were, because not one set of digging has found any bones or form of life that ages that far back, so adding this all together, how is it that if god did make the earth he would have made dinosoars befor humans, but who knew what to right in the bible about the creation when writing had not even yet been discovered,

    1. Ape do not transform to man anymore because evolution does not happen in one day, it takes millions of years and a slow process. Monkeys & apes are evolving according to their needs and environmental surroundings as the have to adapt for their survival. Even Humans are evolving without exception.
    2. That popular Big Bang is not some explosion that happens in a regular basis. It was just a one-time event.
    3. All of the seasons and Earth do not happen in the same day every time. It changes. YOU are that should read an encyclopedia before telling pointless things. It doesn’t even makes sense and rednecks like you piss me off.
    4. There are many ways you can understand a star by the radiation and solar wind, that the sun emits, additionally you can use methods like helioseismology for detecting large “sunquakes” by the changes in the frequency of the sun-light.

    For example the size of the core and the radiation zone are calculated by the solar wind particles, the total energy output of the sun and some smaller experiments on Earth about particle physics, which helped to explain how the energy is produced inside the sun. The convection streams can even be directly observed on the surface.

    5. We actually do know how many planets are out there it is simple to know. Its like counting the blade of grasses in a football field. All you have to do is to count a specific area with a square then multiply the perimeter of that square to know how many squares can fit into the field, and though it may not be the exact number, but you’ll get pretty close.

    But…I’m confused, you just answered your own question; you asked how the 10 commandments could have just been made up, yet you state that they’re ‘basic common sense laws of man’ so if they’re common sense, surely humans could have made them up. Just as a mother would create rules in her household to give children stability the commadments could have been created to avoid chaos and provide order in society. I’m not saying they’re wrong ,because weither or not you’re religious they’re pretty good rules to live by, i’m just saying humans aren’t so dumb that was can’t think ‘hey you know what, killing isn’t so good’ for our selves.
    Also to answer your question “If God and everything was made up, then how in the hell, has christianity/jewism survived possibly for over four thousand years” isn’t it possible that religion has been embraced for so long because we’re scared about death and our possibly pointless exitance? it provides structure, meaning and goals in our lives and humans function much better when given these things.
    I’m not saying that Science is right and religion is wrong because how on earth could i prove anything? Then again same goes for Buddaism, Jewdaism Christianity etc =p

If it does then what is past that, it can’t just suddenly stop. And if it doesn’t then the universe is infinite which is a mind blowing thought that also means there are infinite possibilities of different life in different parts of the universe. So when you think about it our world is not an accident. It just happens to be the only the world with all the requirements to support life. These requirements had to come together eventually. Oh and one last thing I am fairly sure that if someone called you an idiot for believing in god you would be offended. Believe whatever you like just don’t criticize others for what they believe. If you still don’t see what we are all getting at then try and see what I just explained as the answer to how not the answer to why. Because nobody knows why we are here. Just make what you will out of the facts.

    The 10 commandments, just as any religious ‘law’ in any religion, are not rules made by god but rather ways for people to behave in a social community (that is why those rules are represented in pretty much every law in the world). Muslims don’t eat pork because when the rules were made there was a swine fever. Fasting exists in every religion and is something which is good for your body once in a while. Christians should eat fish on Fridays was just a way to explain people to eat a variety of things and not eat meat every day. Just idiots follow these rules today, since we have different circumstances and do not eat rotten pork and are able to choose what we eat without eating fish every Friday because god wants us to.

    Just because some idiots told stories about a ‘god’ and people did not have an answer for the existence of the world, they believed. Just because it is easier to explain everything by a creature who does everything you do not have to think for yourself.

    The excuses to believe in god were ok 2,000 years ago. They started to become stupid 500 years ago. But whoever believes in god and everything that stands in the bible (or Koran etc) is an idiot and just too lazy to think for himself. It is a completely irrational behavior that makes no sense whatsoever.

    I people want to believe in god because he gives them strength that is fine with me. I don’t care what religion people have. America is pretty much the only powerful country (let’s say top 10 economic countries) which is still very religious. All the top European economies like Germany, UK, Scandinavian countries, Holland etc. don’t give a shit about religion. Fortunately people in the bigger cities and especially more educated regions start waking up.

    @ProKillerFin But dude if you stopped believing in religion as an answer to everything and actually took an interest in science, you’d see that formulas have been created that have been proven to show the age of planets and stars. Next we have Quasars, residual images of galaxies traveling at the speed of light from across the galaxy, whose light has only just reached us. We use these markers of points in time to determine the amount of time the galaxies have been travelling for, and from where. I.e. the the age of the universe and the time of the big bang is derived- not through a divine entity saying ‘i told you so’ but through method and logic and genius. Science never believes it is right until proof is obtained. Some of the greatest theories known to man have been ridiculed for years before technology caught up to prove things such as the atom.
    Also, relying on the “Ten Commandments” as the centrepiece of your argument is the lamest fucking thing i’ve ever heard. Common Sense is not divine wisdom, it’s Common Sense. So STFU.

    I would just like to be the first to point out that christianity actually hasn’t been around for 4000 years.. how could it….if “christ” was real (unlikely) then he was alive approximately 2000 years ago (if you wish to conform to a gregorian calendar) so how could a religion exist before it’s namesake was born?…..once again a fabricated lie. Religion is and always will be a story of astronomy. “Jesus” refers to the sun and is a story based on a metaphor of the stars. Do your research if you don’t believe me.

Yes you shall call me God. now really, in 1000 years people will think im god for saying that and some theorys will pop up that the god is me :) , there is no such thing.. Lets say there was, he/she would stop all the killings on the decent people, and not let murderers and such even live at all, he would stop all the natural disasters and shit. now lets say there isnt and science is right, scientists have found new things and keep finding new shit out, its ALOT more than what Priests and the Pope has done, Science is right and its the more logical way around, people believe in God and Religion because its a way past life, and nothing more.. they want to believe we live on so they dont have to fear death and stuff, think of it this way, when u wasnt born u cant remember anything cos you wasnt even in the womb or anything and things just happend while u wasnt there, and when ur born things do happen, its the same as death, things arnt going to happen because your not there..
