its pretty much because the human IQ level on average has gone down 0.03 % every year since people started taking polls and census markets in 1946, and i believe due to that slight decrease, people just arent ever going to be intelligent enough to come up with something better its really discouraging, i would just advise setting an example for everyone around you and try to start new “trends” of originality
